    About Mary

Hi there!I'm Mary, and I know what it means when the life you built no longer fits.

I'm a trauma-informed coach, author, and host of Healing After Heartbreak. But more than any title, I'm someone who has walked through heartbreak and discovered that healing isn't about becoming someone new. It's about remembering who you've always been.

I know what it is to lose yourself while trying to hold everything together.

For much of my life, I was very good at being the strong one.

I could read a room, anticipate what people needed, solve problems, keep the peace, and carry more than anyone probably should.

From the outside, that can look a lot like strength.

Until you realize you've become so good at listening to everyone else that you can barely hear yourself.

My own life has included heartbreak, betrayal, divorce, painful relationships, starting over, and seasons when I questioned my own judgment far more than I questioned what was happening around me.

I know what it is to feel something is wrong and explain it away.

To wonder if you're asking for too much.

To keep trying because maybe if you love better, communicate better, understand more, or become a little easier to love, everything will finally feel safe.

And I know what happens when the relationship ends but the questions don't.

    How did I get here?

    Why didn't I trust myself?

How do I make sure I never lose myself like that again?

Those questions became part of my own healing.

And eventually, part of my work.

I thought healing meant becoming stronger.

    Wiser.

    Less trusting.

Better at spotting nonsense from fifty yards away.

And, to be fair, that last one has occasionally come in handy.

But the deeper work wasn't becoming someone new.

It was finding my way back to the woman I had been leaving behind.

The woman who knew when something felt wrong.

Who had needs without apologizing for them.

Who could trust what she noticed.

Who could love someone without disappearing inside the relationship.

That changed the way I understood healing.

And it changed the way I help women now.

This is the work I wish more women knew was possible.

You do not need to become colder to protect yourself.

You do not need to stop loving deeply.

And you certainly do not need to become some perfectly healed version of yourself before you're allowed to trust your own life again.

You may simply need help hearing yourself beneath all the fear, guilt, old rules, and second-guessing.

That's the heart of my work.

I help women who lost themselves in painful relationships rebuild self-trust so they can stop repeating old patterns.

Together, we look at what happened without putting your past self on trial.

We notice the patterns that taught you to override yourself.

We make room for what you actually feel, need, want, and know.

And we practice staying connected to yourself even when someone else is disappointed, confused, or unable to meet you there.

Because the goal isn't simply to get over what happened. It's to stop abandoning yourself because of what happened.

I bring my whole life's work into the room.

My approach is personal, but it isn't built on lived experience alone.

I've spent my professional life working with people.

I'm a master-certified confidence and clarity coach and trauma-informed coach. My professional background also includes work as a therapist, school counselor, educator, school administrator, language therapist, and hospital Director of Medical Staff.

I'm also pursuing my doctorate in Community Care and Counseling.

Across all of those roles, one thing has remained remarkably consistent:

People need places where they can tell the truth without being judged for how long it took them to find the words.

That is the kind of space I work to create.

    Warm.

    Honest.

    Grounded.

    Sometimes tender.

    Sometimes funny.

And always centered on helping you hear your own voice more clearly, not replacing it with mine.

You were never meant to disappear to be loved.

I don't believe healing is about fixing everything that is wrong with you.

I believe much of healing is remembering.

Remembering what you knew before you learned to doubt yourself.

Remembering what you loved before survival became a full-time job.

Remembering that your needs are information, not inconveniences.

Remembering that someone else's disappointment does not automatically mean you've done something wrong.

Remembering the woman underneath all the roles you learned to play to keep connection.

You don't have to become someone new. You get to come home to yourself.

    A few things about me

I come from the sweetest little town you'll ever find, Honey Grove, Texas.

    • Full house, full heart

I'm a mom in a blended family of seven kids, so quiet is lovely when I can find it.

    • Forever learning

I'm currently pursuing my Ed.D. in Community Care and Counseling because apparently I looked at my schedule and thought, "You know what this needs? A doctorate."

I'm the author of The Sacred Work of Remembering and the woman behind The Remembering Letter.

I host Healing After Heartbreak, where we talk about the messy, meaningful work of finding your way back to yourself.

    • What matters to me

Family. Faith. Compassion. Curiosity. Humor. Honesty. And conversations where we can tell the truth without pretending we have everything figured out.

A few words that probably describe me:loving • funny • compassionate • curious • remembering

    Ready to begin?

    Let's begin a conversation.

If something here made you think, She understands what I've been trying to put into words, we can start there.

You don't need the whole story organized.

You don't need to know exactly what kind of support you need.

And you definitely don't need to have your life figured out before we talk.

    Come as you are.

A gentle conversation. No pressure. Just a place to get clear about what you need next.
